who fail/under perform/etc. As I observe these students, I have become intrigued by the idea of how "failure" (in the academic sense of the word) seems to have little or no impact on some (not all) students.

My amatuer attempts at looking into the research on this topic has led me to the Dunning & Kruger research. I am fascinated by their work. And find it very relevant.

I know many of you have more formal training and background into the field of academic research than do I. Can someone steer me into further research into this specific topic? TIA for responses. or PM if you prefer.

    cheers. and happy long weekend.
