Loved Adam; this was a perfect genre for him. It should be interesting to see and hear duets tonight.

Here's some news that sure to shock the  out of all of you:

Paula Abdul admitted to 12-year-long (!!!) drug addiction:
    http: //www.nypost.com/seven/05052009/tv/pain_pill_paula_167637.html
(remove the space after the "http:")

I say good luck to her, but I'm not the least bit surprised by this admission.

    Agree... maybe that's why I'm not a rocker!!! :blush::eek:

Or maybe like my cousin's poster said, "If it's too loud your too old!" (He had that on his wall when he was in High School!!!) I think I may be too old to enjoy that (never really been a rocker)!!!

I think that Slash guy or whatever his name is, is just grosssssssss...sorry rocker people...I don't see the appeal. Adam is adorable though even if he does scream too much

I liked Kris' performance even if they didn't. I still don't get the appeal of Gokey, I thought he was AWFUL. And he is so darn smug..."Well, I'll have to watch it back, but I thought it sounded good up here." um, no, you sounded like a dying cat!

I agree mugglebug. He ruined Aerosmith, not a Stephen Tyler. I LOVED tonight. I was in high school in the 70's and still love rock. Adam was great, Led Zepplin was the right choice. I loved his duet too.

I still like Gokey...just not his genre tonite.... I don't think this was a good performance for him... It wasn't awful until that last note!!! I didn't think he was smug... I think maybe he heard something different & Simon always says to watch it back.
I think lil Miss Allison was quite full of herself as well. I didn't like her acting the way she did either. Come on you know Simon will get your goat...and what happened to respecting your elders.

I loved Alison..I think she did great! I think it was more of her trying to speak up more during those few seconds in front of everyone, Simon was laughing so I dont think he was offended

    chris should go

Liked all but Gokey tonight. Not his thing. They are all great performers and singers. I wouldn't mind, at this point, if any of them won. They are all four going to make it in the music industry.

what is the theme for next week?

My DVR cut off as I am sure a lot of people's did. I didn't get to see the recap. I have a feeling Adam leaves tonight. I don't know why.

Didn't say maybe tonite they willl...

Daisy ... he said something & she was gettig upset with him. She did a little like angry growl type thing. He actually said I like that she's standing up for herself. (I still think it was silly & disrespectful).

Well, in Simon's TV guide interview that I was reading yesterday, he did mention something about Allison having no personality and he wished she would say, "Simon, what do you know about me?, at your age? Shut up!". I guess she was trying to do something like that!

I didn't like the way she was throwing her arms around either. I mean I'm sure he'd get my goat, but do that off stage. You can be fiesty w/out the extra body language. I think it's funny people (in general)can say it wasn't a big deal & then when somebody else says something they were being rude. I think they need to keep in mind not only are adults watching, but kids & they should be respectful whatever they say or do. They think they're in the spotlight now...just wait till they have their record deals, so start acting "Idol-ish"....

    Stepping off my soapbox......

She looked like she was trying to be Brittney Spears. The dancing and the lip synching were exactly like Spears. She is too old for that I think

    Paula was just sad...
I haven't seen or heard Gwen Stefani for awhile. I usually like Cold Play but didn't love tonight.

One of my students predicted that Adam was going home tonight; I hope not.

    Kris is safe...who's going home?

I appreciate that Gokey could at least admit how awful he sounded at the end of his song last night.

I would have rather Allison in the top 3 than Danny, but at least Kris is still in so I'm happy with that.

I agree with all of you who say Goodbye Allison!!!

Now do they do 2 songs next week...or will they do the duets do you think?

Glad Danny was spared & had a sense of humor about his note!!!

They are No Doubt...although I felt like they did some cold playing tonight...wasn't a fan. The band sounded great, although that song is so old, but I thought Gwen was trying too hard.

I liked Paula's song, she is an awesome dancer. Probably lip synced, but what else would one expect?

I was so happy for Kris! Really, I wanted Adam to be eliminated.

Does anyone else think Danny is getting kinda cocky? Cocky Gokey!

I agree with most. But I don't think Danny's that much different that when he went in. I do think that Adam is a little full of himself.

Of course they are. That's what I get for trying to multi-task--watching Idol, posting here and helping my daughter with her Science project.

I used to love Danny, and still love his voice, but don't love his attitude sometimes.

I just wonder whether Danny would have much real success after Idol? I guess I kind of lump him in with Taylor Hicks...really popular on his season, but not much appeal to the mass market afterward. Adam is so versatile that he'll find an audience, Kris can fit into that cute guitar player/Jason Mraz niche, and I can even see Allison doing something Kelly Clarkson-ish...I just don't know where Danny's place would be and if he'd really appeal to a wide audience post-Idol. Maybe that's why they want him in the final, because they can mold him the way they want to (although they haven't seemed to have much success with male Idols in the past).

Simon was quoted as saying he thought Danny might win but didn't think he would be a "star". He says there's a difference between being a star and winning a competition.

I think Danny has a little more appeal than Taylor Hicksl...at least he looks his age. I mean I think it was hard to promote Taylor because of his "older" looking looks.

While Adam is definitely my favourite (by far), I'm half hoping he doesn't win. I think that he will be much more successful doing his "own thing" than the "Idol thing".

Adam belongs on Broadway. I don't see him on the radio (well, of course you don't SEE him on the radio, but you KWIM)
Danny might find a niche in contemporary Christian, or maybe even a country crossover.
Alison-hmm, probably will be a few years until we hear from her, if ever.
Kris is honestly the only one I see having enough to appeal to audiences across age ranges...

:)Adam is still my favorite, due to the fact that you'll NEVER know what he's going to venture into. One thing for sure, you know he's going to have that loooooooo:whistle:ooooooooong note held for sometime, somewhere in his song. That's his :rolleyes:tipoff to the other contestants; "CAN YOU DO THIS? I dare you!" Allison was better than Danny this week, BUT America voted and she got the boot. It goes to show that you have to have your BEST STUFF every week or you are gone.
