Between the Africa thing, the interminable finale, Ryan, Paul and Simon's stupid, immature antics, I am really sick of the show.
Wow, you guys were rough last night. I was sitting on the couch just wanting to come read your responses so I could find out who won before it was over but didn't. They really could have done with out a few of the acts. Did you notice how now its the top 12 not the top 10 on tour? Did they do that because of the Sanjya thing?---- him staying when others should have been there????
An hour show would have been more than enough. I agree that they wait until the final 3 minutes of the show, announce the winner and shove the runner up off the stage. Did anyone watch the pre-Idol show? Simon says that in three years he will retire, that will be when he turns 50. So will the show go on?
Me too. Even though he's brutally honest, he at least says what needs to be said. Paula sugarcoats and Randy with his "dog, dog ,dog"...arg!
Or "Yo, Dawg, lissenup." Give me Simon any day of the week. Paula is completely useless (I'd like to know what is in that glass of hers!! ) and Randy is too nice most of the time. Simon's opinion may often be brutal , but he IS honest. (And...I'm completely fed up with everyone booing Simon as soon as he opens his mouth. ) Ah, I wonder what next year will bring... Good thing there's the summer so I can recuperate before then!
If Simon leaves no one will watch it. We all know that people only watch the show because they love seeing how much humiliation the contestants can take. OK, now who's going to see the live tour?

Frizz, they are coming to my town. I wont be going, but this is the first year they have come here. You guys all thought the finale was bad? I was actually going to say I liked the show...minus a few performances. However, I did have a sceaming infant in my ear the whole time so anything at that moment was probably going to be better than the screaming.

I didn't get to see all of it, but even in the past I think the do tend to draw it out. I don't think that is so horrible either...they try to recap everything. I guess I'm still curious why Sanjaya got to do a solo & no one else did!!! I was really shocked how awful (I'm sorry) Bette Midler was...I usually adore her & that song, but I was wondering if I could have voted her off!?!
