It's official. The judges for the new season are:
I'm a little crazy, but Steven Tyler is the sexiest man I've ever seen. Next to Andy Roddick. I think he'll be an interesting judge.
JLo... I'm not sure. I can see her being too nice to everyone.
I'm going to miss Simon's comments. They need someone to tell it straight, and I doubt the two new ones have the chops to do it.
I like the idea of J lo joining the panel. I was really hoping Brett Michaels would join the group, I thought he would be a good fit.
I am on the fence about Steven Tyler.
How much diversity is there I have only heard really of J Lo and Randy because he was on the show already what is his forte?
Who Is Steven Tyler?
who is going to be the SOB?
Steven Tyler was the lead singer for aerosmith. The guy with the HUGE mouth. I think I actually may watch it these season just to see the judges!
(Head slap) Now I remember
But still who is the most rounded in music?
J Lo is Pop/rock
Tyler is rock/pop
All I know about Randy Jackson is he has been on the show for a while and he has worked with a lot of Pop artists (Bass)
I already miss Simon!
I think Jlo will surprise us and be the hard one. I dont know about Tyler. It should be interesting.

Well, at least it will be 3 people who really know the music business and music. I think JLo will be sweet, but will be realistic, too. I can't stand looking at Steven Tyler, but he should at least provide a little craziness or something. The kids will probably look up to him.
I don't watch the show. But, I heard an interesting interview on NPR that said American Idol is the one show that doesn't really need judges. Listeners know if they like a song upon hearing it, we make those decisions all of the time. And, the audience makes the final decisions anyway. So, why judges?
I just found it interesting.
Went on to say that shows like Top Chef (and others) NEED judges because the audience can't participate in the dining/tasting experience.
Interesting that JLo and Steven Tyler have decided to jump aboard the sinking ship.
Not watching, can't stand Jennifer Lopez!!
Personally I blame this sort of "car crash tv" for the vulgarisation of British culture......the UKplc is now awash with these sort of programmes....why did you sell this to us ?????:|:|:|:|
Wait, Sell it to you guys?
Didn't Simon brought it to us?
Yes--American Idol is based on Britain's Pop Idol...
And So You Think You Can Dance is from British producer Nigel Lythgoe...
Dancing with the Stars...came from Strictly Come Dancing
Skating With Celebrities...came from Dancing on Ice
America's Got Talent...came from Britain's Got Talent
American Gladiators...came from Gladiators
How Clean is Your House?...same
Even Three's Company...came from Man About the House...The Office is an import...
I hang my head in shame and apologise to the cultural among you for daring to suggest that the US had thought up this pile of tosh !
Ashamed of UKplc
Well, I don't think you have to be shamed! I like DWTS! And American Idol! And others!
