We are finally going to upgrade to common core books in my HS. We are trying to choose a series to purchase.

I can't believe that I can find blogs that review different brands of toilet paper, but not a single one in regards to Algebra 2 books.

Does anyone know of any research that's been done or have a preference for publishers?

School is planning on just going with the devil they know and ordering Pearson series, but there are others. Or at least I think there are...

I'm fond of the new edition of Amsco's Algebra 2/Trig.

I don't know a lot but last year I stepped in for a math teacher and I used the CME project textbook. I got it off of amazon for a small amount of money (just one for me). I really liked it and it was an easy way to review the text. There is one for each HS course. I'm not sure what they have for lower grades.
