Well, I lied again about going to bed.

I may be the oldest chronologically, but you have me beat teachinglogically, because this is a third career for me - graphic designer, 11 years, SAHM 15 years, teacher 8 years.

    You go, guy! ;)

I have been told that I will be canonized soon.
I just would like the wife to say "Dave why don't you fully retire?"
    do I hear
    "somewhere over the rainbow......."

Ummmm, Dave? Old won't do it. You have to be dead to be canonized.

Turned 30 this past March. Although, people tell me I look the same as I did in high school, but with different hair. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Yay, I'm so glad so many people responded to this thread! :) Not like age is everything...but it's nice to get a little idea of how old people are. ...And not old at all from what I've been reading!! ;)

I am 30... will be 31 in September.

I thought I was gonna feel old once I hit 30 but this year has been an amazing one. One of the best so far. Can't wait to see what the rest of my 30's will bring:p .

It's amazing... I am older than my mom, who has stopped at 29...lol:p .

Personally, I didn't feel "grown up" until I hit 30. Lingering in 29 just didn't feel adult quite yet. :)

I still don't feel grown up. I look at where I am in my career and wonder sometimes how I got where I am and how I am trusted with the lives of the children in my center, the work environment for my staff, and the financial aspects of running the center in general.

At home it's nice because my boyfriend and I are just pranksters and just act goofy and silly together. It's so much fun:p !!!

I'm 32 but people at my school think I'm in my mid 20's ( I was hired with a group of people right out of college!) Feels kind of nice to be thought of younger (or maybe not when you think about it! ) :)

21 hasn't been fun, but I'll student teach, graduate, and hopefully get a teaching job in the year to come.

You did the math wrong the "-" does not mean minus it was not a math symbol it was a hyphen it should be read as 20 plus 11 = 31

I am 42. Currently in my 17th year of teaching. Most people are shocked to find out my age. Thanks to good genes from my mother, they all think I am in my early 30s. Of course, my first graders think I am really old!

    When did you know??

Ok I had dinner, I fueled up a few brain cells.

I will start acting my age again. :)

Which brings me to this question: How or when did you know you were an adult, a real grown-up (not too many details please...I just ate! :0 )

IrishDave says "he just wants to be the man his dog thinks he is!"
When did you know you were no longer a kid..teenager, college student...

The day I got married. I realized it was all over as far as living with mom and dad ever again. It was a sad feeling for me though. Then...two years later, our first baby. Definately a grown up then.

The day I found out I was pregnant with my daughter! I even started wearing my seatbelt that day! Almost all of my perspectives on things changed, and I became MUCH more conservative (although not a Reaganite, lol). :p
