I am looking for fun after school club ideas that could be offered to 1st graders.

Anyone have any clubs that they use with 1st grade or ideas?

Our school has Minecraft and a Pokemon club, although I think it's mostly older kids who sign up :)

Art would be good...my first graders loveee to color! They also love playing organized games outside- beanbags, parachute, scramble, four-square, jump rope, tetherball, kick the ball back and forth....

My school does Minecraft after school and K-1 is included! They do have upper grade mentors, though. :)

Art, theater (put on a Bad Wolf Press play - did one with my first graders last year and they were super successful), science (I've done that one). Love the Lego idea too.

I also like Lego club for this age group. I have taught sewing and cooking club and even with older kids they are exhausting, so I don't recommend them.
