I teach Pre-k at a small church preschool. While I love my job and the flexibility to be off whenever I need for sickness or personal reasons, the pay is low and the benefits non-existent. I have an opportunity to apply for a position with the local elementary school to teach preschool. The salary would be $10,000 more with insurance and retirement. My hesitation is that I have some minor health issues and this job would not be as flexible to leave or call in sick. My current boss is very understanding. Thoughts? Is the extra money worth losing flexibility?
