for homework. I give maybe 20-25 problems and we do about the first 5-10 in class, so they really have 15-20. I only give homework Monday-Thursday. I get a pretty good percentage of homework back compared to other math teachers in the building. How much homework do you give?

    It depends on the topic.

But I tell all my kids, regardless of what grade they're in, that they should stop after 20 minutes of math homework. If they need more time than that, either they need extra help or I misjudged on the assignement.

I teach fifth grade. I give just about the same number of problems. However, if I have them make up their own story problems, I reduce it to 5-10 problems.

20-30 depending on what is on the sheet, but I do give homework every day that we have a new lesson and that includes Fridays most times.
