What do you do on a typical free day all to yourself?
How often do you get days like this?

I like to start off around 9am going to the gym (if I feel like it),
then browsing/shopping at a few stores (Target &/or mall),
then run any errands I may have,
    get something tasty to eat,
head home around early afternoon time,
catch up on TONS of TV I DVR'd,
get on the computer here & there rest of day,
    watch some You Tube videos,
    maybe read magazines,
do a couple simple house chores if needed,
enjoy the rest of the evening relaxing at home!

I especially like weekdays to myself...less crowded than weekends.
I get about a couple days like this every month or two.

I may get a day like this once a year. I usually use them to catch up on laundry and school work. I also try to eat foods that my husband isn't fond of, because we don't eat those as often as I would like.

I have teenagers, so I really don't remember what those days are like.

I would rarely spend time shopping or watching movies or tv on a free day. I would catch up on paperwork, laundry, perhaps go through closets or drawers and remove items I no longer want. (Will donate or save for church rummage sale ). I love to cook and bake so I would probably spend a portion of the day in the kitchen. If I knew In advance about the free day I might make arrangements to have lunch with a former colleague. If the weather was great (instead of snow, wind, and below freezing temps as it is now) I would work outside I the yard.

I get those days quite frequently. I live by myself in the middle of nowhere. Today was one of my free days. I'm still on sick leave, but we had a snow day called today.

    • woke up around 6:00 when "no school" call came in
    • checked FB on my iPad
    • read book for a couple of hours
    • dozed back off for awhile
    • got up for good around 10:00
    • called to schedule gas meter change for Friday
    • put load of laundry in washer
    • took roast out of crock pot to cool
    • make snow cream
    • hemmed a pair of pants
    • laid on the couch under the electric blanket and watched it snow

I didn't get out today because of the snow. I have to get out tomorrow to get a massage and a back adjustment. My back and shoulders are killing me! I wasn't supposed to go back for two weeks, but I couldn't stand it any longer.

A typical "getting out" day to myself looks different. I had one of those yesterday.

    • got up at 10:00
    • drove to next town
    • washed vehicle
    • ate lunch at Panera
    • drove on to big city
    • bough new jeans at Old Navy
    • bought baby shower gift at Target
    • stopped by Mom's house
    • went to the gym and walked a mile (first time at gym since surgery)

That is exactly what I would do. However, I haven't had an entire day to myself in years.

I get those days all the time. With my husband being on 12 hour shifts, I've had a lot of weekends when I'm by myself the majority of the day. I'm usually extremely lazy-I sleep in as much as I can, read books, and watch tv. Sometimes I go and get food if I don't feel like making anything. With the baby coming in a few months, I'm sure it won't be like this for much longer!

With a slight possibility of a snow day tomorrow, I'd sleep in a bit, work out, do a few home projects, read, a bit of school paperwork and planning.

I love these kinds of days. I would probably still get up early since I'm used to it but stay in my jammies and drink coffee until I felt like getting dressed. If the weather was nice I'd go to the park and take a walk. If I wanted to treat myself to lunch I'd go to the Barnes and Noble cafe and eat while reading something. If the weather wasn't good I'd probaly watch something on Netflix and read.

My district already called it. :) I won't be alone though as, most likely, my kids will have a snow day as well.

I get quite a few days alone since I live alone and my closest family is an hour away. I like to...

    - actually cook breakfast
    - FaceTime with my nephew
    - read
    - bake
    - clean up around the house

    Have coffee/eat breakfast
    Read the paper
    Yoga
    Spa (mud wrap)
Get a blow out and a massage
    Lunch/afternoon drinks
    Go antique shopping
    See a movie
    Dinner

That's a normal "me" day :) I try to have one a few days a month. I even skip my afternoon work out!

    I love having "me time"!

About one Saturday a month, I'll:

Stay in bed until noon watching TV.
Treat myself to a pedicure or massage.
Invite my parents over for a nice dinner.

My bf has weekends off (except for one Saturday a month). The Saturday he works is the day I deem "me time"!

My hubby works some weekends so after he leaves at 6am I'm usually up doing what I want. I can even clean up a bit since he's not in the way LOL Trying to vacuum around him is difficult so the 10 minutes it takes when he's not around doesn't eat too much into my "me" time.

Whenever I have days like this, I...

    - call my mom and chat for an hour or two
    - read my novel
    - crochet with the television on for background noise
    - sleep

What is that? I have free time between 430am and 6:15am in the morning but usually loading dishwasher, making some lunches. I do get to read the paper and eat my cereal in front of the computer for about 30 minutes. This morning I was doing all that plus washing clothes, turning off outside water, warming up cars etc.

Summer before last, I went shopping by myself. That's the last time I had a day all to myself, just me, to do whatever I wished. Seriously. My DS is three, so one day in three years. I can count on one hand the number of days I haven't had him with me, and even then I've been with my mom or sister for some reason or another. OMG. A day all to myself would be like heaven. Don't get me wrong. I love my son. It'd just be nice to have a day here and there where I wouldn't have to pick up after someone, feed someone, etc.

I spent my day alone day today looking online for shoes to try on tomorrow. I also laid out my clothes for jury duty. I started my day by taking my hot mess neighbor to the pharmacy to pick up his medicine. He just got out of jail this morning. He also has a suspended license, and Mustangs don't drive that great in the snow anyway.

Well, today was my 3rd day in a row at home alone. I have cleaned the house, done a bunch of organizing stuff, worked on wedding planning, read, played around on the computer, done some online shopping, baked, Skyped with my fiance...

And I'm stuck here tomorrow too!

Well, I've had a really rough week. Lots of stuff to do at work plus I was sick on and off for 3 days. I think Saturday will be a "me" day since my hubby will be working. I can't wait to find some fun stuff to do!

Yep, I was starting to get a little cabin fever! Thankfully, I was able to have some nice long phone conversations with some good friends, and I talked to my mom quite a bit. When my fiance wasn't in class, we left Skype on for long stretches of time. Sometimes we talked or played games, but other times he worked on homework while I read or whatever. Not quite the same as being in the same room, but better than nothing!

I finally made it out of the house last night to run to Wal-Mart to stock up on groceries before we got more snow overnight. Today I took a big load of stuff to Goodwill. I've got a few more piles of things to take care of today (I started going through my closets and some containers in the garage, so there are things that need to be rearranged into new homes), and then my fiance should be here around dinner time!

    (Don't judge me.)
    Wake up around 1:00 p.m.
    Eat something
    Watch t.v.
    Go to Wal-Mart
    Take a nap
    Eat something
    Watch TV
    Internet
    Eat something
    Drink a few beers
    Watch a movie
    Eat something
    Bed.

That sounds like a good day to me!

I'm cleaning closets today in a way I couldn't (or shouldn't) if I didn't live alone. I'm wearing a bra and panties while I sort clothes so I can try on things before deciding where to put them. Just for the heck of it, I'm also blasting 80's hard rock music and singing along. If I didn't have the house to myself already, I probably would after I started with all that.
