Hello, I'm a teacher from Egypt wondering about the tools teachers use to create the awesome worksheets I see online. What fonts do I have to have? Where do I find the clipart? Do they draw everything by hand or purchase them? Any specific programs to use or just Photoshop and MSword? Any other tips or unknown treasures that you learned while creating resources for your classrooms are more than welcome. Thank you.
I download free fonts and clipart. Most of which I have found on teacherspayteachers. I downloaded a huge bundle of free KG fonts which I love. I just use Microsoft word and Powerpoint to create my resources.
If you found this forum, you can find free fonts and clip art all over the web. I use Publisher, because it lets me fine tune, separate the text and graphics, then save it as a PDF when I am done. I can insert graphics at will, and I often will insert a graph if needed. TPT is a good place to start, but don't pay big bucks for what you are able to track down for free. Nobody "steals" from others better than teachers, and I think we all pretty much assume it is going on. If I don't want it used by others, I don't share it online. You would be surprised what you can do with fairly standard fonts if you just play around with their size, color, and placement. I commonly use my snipping tool to download graphics, pictures, etc. into my creation. I wish I had more time to do some of the things. Good luck.
