Please pray for a young boy diagnosed with a possible parasite in his spinal fluid. If the test results come back positive, this situation is usually fatal. Obviously, the parents are very, very concerned.
Thank you for praying. The test results showed no parasite, the boy is recovering quickly, and yesterday went home from the hospital! The doctors still need to determine the cause of his symptoms, but so far he's recovering rapidly.
A final diagnosis has been made, just as frightening as the first one to think about, but the good news is, he is recovering rapidly! The young boy was bitten by a mosquito and developed encephalitis. This could have been fatal, or could have resulted in long term difficulties, but based on his recovery, the doctors say the only problem will be that he might struggle a little in school for about a year.
