1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.
Five minutes means five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping with the kids or, washing up!
3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in “fine.”
4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually not a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you’re welcome.
8.) Whatever: Is a women’s way of saying $%#@ YOU!
9.) Don’t worry about it, I’ll do it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking “What’s wrong?” For the woman’s response refer to #3.

ROFL. These are, for the most part, completely true! :) Actually, I think I've heard myself do all of these. :p

    Phrases men use:

I'll get to it later. (I hope you will forget, I'm watching the game)
Can you fix me a snack? (I would like dinner, a beverage, dessert and then some... ;) )
This will only take a minute. (This will take two weeks or two years)
I'm starting on it tomorrow... (see the 1st phrase)
You don't need that. (I need it, and I hope you won't make me do it also)
You don't look fat. (You look big)
I'll call you. (When there is another lunar eclispe)
Let me take your car. (So I can use up all your gas, and my running buddies won't recognize your car, so I can get back at a decent hour)
I'll be home soon. (Two, three hours...maybe...before midnight for sure)
I'm stopping at Mom's. (I'm going to eat dinner, complain about you, eat some more, watch TV, take a nap, and trying to remember why we are still together)
Of course I remembered (birthday, our anniversary, to pick up milk from the store)
I'll be right back (I'm going to get whatever I forgot!!)
I still love you. (Yeah, you know it...and I should say it more! )

9 words/phrases men use and meanings

    1) "I am not *issed off" - means I am not *issed off.
    2) "I got home at __ A.M" - means "I got home at __ A.M" we know you already know the answer to this, so stop with the trap questions.
    3) "Want to have some fun on the kitchen counter?" means exactly that...no, we are not "Crazy."
    4) "I'm going out with the guys" means I am going out with the guys, we are drinking copious amounts of beer and shots (none of those silly mixed ones either) then a few vodkas to get home.
    5) "Nothing happened at the strip club" Nothing happens at strip clubs...to quote Chris Rock "there is no sex in the champagne room."
    6) "Don't stand in front of the TV" actually means "Do you know the ramifications of the next few seconds of this game? Now get the h*ll out of the way. You can fill us in on the tramp from work later."
    7) "thanks" means thanks...we don't say much we don't mean.
    8) "Why are you doing dishes now?" means "why are you doing dishes when we were supposed to leave 20 minutes ago for the party. WHAT is your problem?"
    9) "You want to watch XYZ movie" means we sit through that borish Lifetime crap enough and barely get TV rights in bed. We'd like to hang out with you and just this once, how about Death From Above instead of Misty Eyes Stranger."

Oh, you left off my most used:
    1. Sure (another dare which if you accept will result in a very long "dry" spell)
    2. In a minute (quit harassing me about how long I'm taking)
    3. Hmmmmmm (can have multiple meanings depending on tone: a) I tuned you out about 4 plays ago, b) we'll see c) hell no,
    d) don't you dare! and e) maybe, at least I'm considering it)

    My mom always said...

    "We'll see..."

That always meant no. I don't know why I kept asking her. "We'll see.", was just the polite way to say "no" in front of company.

Only took me 15 years to figure that out.

 TRUE! Very true! Funny thing is, my mom is still apt to say that! (but at least now everyone involved knows the real answer)
