:thumb:Have you ever celebrated the 50th day? What ideas did you have for this day? Was it all day activites or just a certain time of day? Just your class or the whole grade? Thanks!

Although we haven't done it, I came across the idea to do a
"50's" theme-you know, poodle skirts, etc. for 50's day. I guess you could do as much or as little as you liked. Because Zero the Hero always brings us a small "zero" snack, on 50's day we get doughnuts to celebrate being halfway to 100's day.

I would focus on the concept of 'half' for this day. The possibilities are endless ..

    50's day

I did a 50's theme last year. It was a ton of fun. The kids really enjoyed it. I had the parents come in the last hour of the day and had a sock hop. We did hoola-hoop contests, limbo, and danced. We had root beer floats as well. Throughout the day we did 50 themed ideas. We talked about the past and how things are different today. I even had a parent bring in a record player to play records....the kids thought that was neat.
