I am moving to a new school (changing grade levels at the same time) and will be moving from 1st to 3rd. I really love 1st grade and am very comfortable with routines, reading,math-etc. I was wondering if anyone had any good websites worth checking out for third grade. I have researched Beth Newingham's website and found lots of ideas! But I want to look at variety. Any ideas? Thanks, Alligator Teacher
I would also like to see any 3rd grade websites that would be helpful. I just found out today that I got hired to teach 3rd grade! Any help would be great.

I'll tell you what I did. I just searched the net and kept on pressing that "favorites" button at the top of my screen. Then I organized my favorites into folders: MATH, LA, SCIENCE, PROfessional develop, etc...I now have my own resource at the tip of my fingers.. Here are a few faves... (has webquests) www.teachnology.com (has printable manipulatives) http://www.glc.k12.ga.us/trc/cluster.asp?mode=browse&intPathID=4985 (First day of school activities) http://www.opencourtresources.com/ocr/links/units/first_day_of_school.html
web sites I am also teaching 3rd grade this year! Check out www.teachervision.com. THis site is for all grades but I have found it to be one of the most useful sites of all time for articles, ideas, printables, etc... There is a $25 annual fee but its definitely worth it, and you can download several items for free before you sign up and pay the fee.
