I am a new third grade teacher and I was wanting to read a book series to my students and was wondering if anyone knew of a good series. When I was in my mentor teacher's first grade classroom we read Junie B. Jones, so anything like that for third grade??

Not a good series, but Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary is a great 3rd grade book, since 3rd is when kids typically learn cursive.

Beverly Cleary's Ramona books are tremendous for third grade! So is the Time Warp Trio series by Jon Schieska.

By the way, I LOVE Muggie Maggie and Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary, which aren't Ramona books. Good recommendations from everyone so far!

    Sarah, Plain and Tall
    Skylark

(not really a series, but the books are about the same family-very good reading material)

I would add a lot of the ones already mentioned to my list.

also Geronimo Stilton books are great!!! A teacher and student favorite!
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Fudge etc.
