Hi everyone! I was excited to see a multiage forum here! I have been teaching 1st grade the last two years, and now I'm teaching a 3rd/4th combo. I have been stressing about how I'm going to do this. It's all new to me. Is there anyone that can maybe give me some tips? I've read some of the posts saying to combine and all that. I've gone through all the standards for the 2 grades and lined up the similarities. We are using Saxon math and the way it was explained it looks like that won't be as big of an issue for the combo class. I haven't much looked at science and social studies, because I'm stuck on reading. We are using Treasures, and I have a 90 minute block to teach reading. I have NO idea how I'm going to do that. If anyone has done this, I would GREATLY appreciate any help/tips/suggestions you can give me. Thank you so much in advance.
