Son just graduated from college and brought all his 'stuuf' home . We ave two of those nice Sterilite 3-drawer organizers that I'd like to take to school. Recently I saw a site (maybe on Pinterest?) where the drawers were decorated with sheets of scrapbook paper slipped in the front of the drawer. Of course I didn't bookmark the site...has anyone seen this? I ould figure it out and 'wing it' on my own, but having a picture/tutorial would be helpful!
Great idea! We need to get some storage for Lauren and that may be just the thing--I'll add it to my "craft" list.
Here you go cza, http://www.mykitchenmylife.com/pt/?id=4808 I am wishing that I brought my sterilite organizers home so that I could do this over the summer.
I'm a little late, but this blog (http://kindercraze.blogspot.com/2012/07/sterlite-drawers-revisited-follow-up-to.html) has the orginator of that particular sterilite organizer. She has a couple of videos as she shows how she put the scrapbook paper on using double sided tape and mod podge. Hope this helps!
Cool idea! I just picked one of those up off the side of the road - in great condition but a little dirty - that I'll have to pretty up!
I just read that link on pinterest yesterday Miss W! I think I'm going to use double sided tape on mine and I'm going to laminate my paper first.
I did my drawers today. The one I decorated is not a high use set, but I think laminating or mod podge would definitely help if the drawers are going to be opened often. I watched the kinder tutorial. I ended up doing mine just a bit differently, but it all worked out.
That is such a cool idea! I even watched the video. I have 1 tall (5 drawer) & 3 regular (3 drawer) sterlite containers I'd love to decorate like that!
