Just to be fair, here is a Lochte tattoo picture. I bet he was feeling neglected.

I think we've well established our perv factor when it comes to the US swim team! ;)

Too bad he doesn't have hip tattoos.

    Thanks STG!
Upsetting. What went wrong? They started off well with 2 wins and then it just went sour. :(

Misty May-Treanor always cracks me up. I wish she would have joined the DWTS All-Star cast since she really didn't get to compete the first time.

They just weren't getting it in the middle. The Russians kept hitting into the middle and there was no one there.

    giraffe~I assume they won?

Ok, I wasn't too worried about it, especially how they were playing in the first set.

I jumped for a long time before it just got too darn scary  I've been doing dressage for about 2-3 years now and I wish I'd switched sooner. I LOVE it and my horse was bred for it and trained for it before we bought him so he's quite talented. Boy did I luck out!

It's okay :hugs: Equestrian sports aren't as great if you don't know all the rules and such. BF has gotten into more the more I drag him to things

I miss the swim team too :( Wish I was in Olympic Village now!

I really dislike the track events so same for me.

    Ditto x 100000000.

Once gymnastics and beach volleyball are done in the next few days, I will not have much to look forward to. Of course, maybe I will get back on a normal sleep schedule

dgp~if I want to start, I'd have to have a horse train. I do have a horse that would look great jumping...just got to get him trained for it. Luckily I know someone. ;)

And if we're going to be IN the Olympic Village...

Maybe we can start an Olympic event in chasing after students to turn in their homework! We'd all qualify for that!

Since I am the least coordinated person on the face of the Earth, I figure those require minimal movements. Especially foot movement. I can focus just fine. Walk? Nope. Swim? I'd be running into the lane dividers.

So, do we just have the one girl in the event finals?

I was at the river yesterday and tried to do some of the butterfly, breaststroke, and backstroke...HA!

For the vault, we only have one girl. I don't know why they didn't all try- we have the best vaulters by far, and I a 1,2,3 would be awesome!

Of course, with the gymnastics rules, you can probably only have 2 from each country in each final. And I bet each gymnast can only compete in 1 event.
That is just my speculation based on how screwed up their rules have been so far. Shannon Miller won on 3 events in Barcelona (I am pretty sure- I know it was at least 2 events).

Yeah. But, there is no sense in risking a permanent injury when they scored her a 0 on the first one.

So is it just the vault final for tonight? I noticed none of the other girls were dressed up. And yes, I wouldn't have tempted the second vault either. I feel bad that she fell like that.
