    WOOHOO!!!!

How sad for him...did you see the headline for the next story?

That indoor cycling with just the two riders going around at a time? How strange is that?!

Wow...for the balance beam. I think the coach has every right to do this.

And I'm sorry to say that Project Runway is winning over the Olympics right now. I didn't know a new season started!!:p

I have given up trying to watch the Olympics without spoilers. Sigh.

At least I got to see the women's gymnastics all-around without it getting ruined (although my hoosband found out the results while we were still watching it). That was the ONLY event that didn't get spoiled for me. I'm so sick of people.

Caesar~I have seen at least one spoiler each day of the Olympics. I just don't think there is anyway to avoid them. :(

After the first swimming spoiler (Lochte gold, Phelps 4th) I have managed to avoid all spoilers! It has been a lot of work!!

I did know that someone contested a gymnastics score today- I have no idea what team and who benefited.

    Yay for Aly Raisman (sp?).

I am happy for her after that initial 3rd place tie with no medal

I had to work late tonight, so it took me a while to get through beach volleyball and gymnastics (of course I fast forwarded through track and field  )

They just started airing it here. I've only seen the balance beam so far. Did this happen at the end of the other events?

    Definitely!

I have decided (yesterday, actually) that Matt Anderson will be my new daily crush. (He is #1 on the men's volleyball team). Not Ryan Lochte, but cute boy-next-door ;)
He is having a rough day though!!!

I can't get over the idea that you are getting "spoilers"... these are not spoilers, these are updates... of what is happening... in real time. For the rest of the world. Yahoo is not to blame, NBC is. It's absolutely insane to think that with the amount of social media in existence, and the amount of coverage most other large nations are getting, that NBC would still rely solely on prime time, and try to play it off as if it is live.

I agree, monsieurteacher--while some of you are trying desperately not to hear any results, I'm madly flipping back and forth between channels, trying not to miss anything.

I'm loving the track and field (I'm a shoulders and forearms girl).

It just sucks to look forward to watching a race all day and then find out what happens before you see it. I don't care that it's happening in real time, it won't be shown until later, people need to keep their mouths shut!:p

    --

I like how this guy who just won the 200m semi finals is all walking around like nothing happened. And the guys who got 2nd and 3rd are collapsing!

Yeah- it feels like someone told you the end of a movie before you even started watching. No fun :(

I haven't gotten a single spoiler from Yahoo- because I don't click on anything!! I have avoided Twitter since the games began, and facebook is where I saw spoilers.

Don't get me started on NBC....

I thought of a new Olympic 'sport' that would land us in the Olympic Village- maneuvering a shopping cart in Walmart in August!!
I hate Walmart. I rarely shop there. I need some plastic organizers and Target didn't have the size I need. Neither did Big Lots, KMart, Dollar General, or Family Dollar. To Walmart I went. I almost ran into a dozen people because they don't look where they are going. I had to maneuver around a dozen more because they stopped in front of me.

To top off my wonderfully fun shopping trip, it started pouring when I was in the checkout. Glad I didn't have a white T-shirt on! I was soaked trough my bra even! Unfortunately, I also had my Nike flip-flops on (the kind with the squishy bottom). They take forever to dry.

I have been flipping back and forth a lot too, MrsC...

Between 8 (CTV), 22 (Sportsnet), 28 (TSN), 97 (OLN), 46 (V - a French network) and RDS (another French network)... I've been able to see most everything I've wanted to...

If there was ever an event not on any of those channels, it's on my phone through the CTVOlympics app :)

Sometimes I'm watching my Olympics app, AND flipping between 2-3 channels as well. I find the London 2012 Results app is also very good for keeping me up to date on what is going on (though it took a while for me to realize that the calendar is always a day behind.)

You're more hard-core than I am, monsieurteacher--I'm only between CTV, Sportsnet and TSN. Hadn't thought to check OLN--our reception is snowy at best there.

I hear what you're saying about "spoilers", but I still don't think it would kill major websites to disguise the results in the headline--instead of:

"Gabby Douglas Wins All Around Gold!"

    Why not:

"Olympic All Around Gold Awarded To..."

I do need to use Google occasionally, which is why I've known every results before it airs.

So does that mean the Summer Olympics are also the winter Olympics on that channel.

Oh, but then they'd have a picture of Gabby on there. I know how they work...tell you without really telling you.

81 to 77! Of course, going into the day with 2 guaranteed medals helped a bit! I can't wait for beach volleyball :woot:
