How long have you been trying? Since Jan of 2007! How many resumes did you send out? Well over 200, I don't even remember applying to the district I got the job in LOL How many interviews or job fairs? At least 15 interviews, many times I was told I was the 2nd choice and that I just needed experience. Even for this job I was turned down (it was for a 6th grade LA teacher). They called me back 2 weeks later and offered me a maternity leave position teaching 5th and 7th grade LA and Math, I absolutely took it. WOO! I got a job! I found out on a layover on a flight to the west coast for a wedding and just got back home. Now it's time to move, I start school Monday!!! How long have you been trying? I had 4 in person interviews, and 3 phone interviews (two from each were the same school but different interviews) so all in all just 5 schools. What general geographic area? I searched all across the US, coast to coast. I landed the job in Southside Virginia. And of course what grade and/or subject? High School French at a Private School So excited! Time to pack and move!! School starts Monday. Oi
Oh, this is where I post! I got a position at a high school that is 1 hour from my house...it's a LTE position (1 yr), but it pays full time with benefits, so it's better than nothing!
