So this fall will be my first year teaching 6th grade math! I've been long term subbing (7th grade science) at the same school, thankfully. So far, I've made lots of friends with the teachers and staff. I've learned the campus as well as the rules and procedures of the school. So I feel I have a definite advantage when it comes to first year teachers. I am actually sitting here waiting for the principal to come check me out of my room that I long term subbed at. Last day today I have already got to see my new room and moved some of my own things into it! I am definitely beyond excited but terrified! I am currently working on procedures and rules for my classroom. So many ideas, but I need to decide asap! I plan to get everything ready over the summer. I do not think I will have a "theme" for my room, but I definitely have learned the dos and don'ts. I just wanted to share how excited I am!!! EEEEEEEeEEEeeeeEeEEeeEEeEeEEeEeeee!!!!!!!
