I'm freezing. I was on the deck wathing the kids play in the pool today; temps were in the high 80's. But then the sun set and I'm cold.

    I LOVE temps near 100!!!

Can a person even be outdoors in 108 degrees? Ouch!

We run from air conditioned house to air conditioned car back to air conditioned building.

that said it was 104 here earlier in the week and I took my 6 kiddos to a spray park. We left and went to playground for lunch. They couldn't even get on playground equipment because they were getting burnt - and that was 10:30 a.m.

Alice, you're going to like 90-plus a lot less when you start menopause, trust me.

After February's radiation/pregnancy scare, that sounds like a good tradeoff.

108? Yikes! I've never experienced that kind of heat. Summer hasn't even started here in New England. It's 61 right now. I know it's nighttime, but still...send some of that heat up here please!!!

I've done my 14 mile bike commute when it's been as hot as 105.

Yes, you can be outside but on days this hot, here at least, people generally stay in.

Our saving grace is that when it's this hot, its also very, very dry. Last summer it was 98 when I was in NYC and I thought I was going to croak, it was so humid. 98 here is still golfing/biking weather.

You must be inland!! We are in the 80's, it is rare that we haven't hit 100 yet. But if you are that hot it must be coming my way!!:)

66 and RAINING... (it has been raining for about a week and a half now. Looks like it will make 2 weeks from the weather report tonight) But I guess I'd rather have it than 100+ temps.

Yes, unfortunately, yesterday was when this high temp began, darnit!:mad::mad: I was so enjoying the 60 degree temp we've had all month.

Earlier today it was 100. Right now in my city, it says 87.

We were out house shopping and actually pulled over to buy ice water from a street vendor. That was while blasting the air conditioning. I peeked at a thermostat in one of the houses and it said 87 inside with the fans running.

Too hot for four people in a tiny condo!! Dh have been at each other's throats...

At least up here, everyone has AC because it never drops below 90 in the summer.

I know where you live, 90 is hell because it's actually quite rare to have AC.

    UGH! It was, I believe 106. RIght now it's 90 and it's 9:41 pm.

I cannot stand the heat. I hate it! I want to move back to the central coast where it's mild temps all year round. Or, up north where it rains all the time. All year I crave for it to be winter and plead for rain. Then, winter comes and it's horribly mild and we get like, a total of 1 week worth of rain. Then, I beg for it to stay spring a little while longer. But I can see summer approaching, and I just start to wilt. Sigh.....Winter, I need you!

We were in San Jose helping DD get settled in a new apartment she's sharing with three other roommates. We were sweltering moving things around in her room, but the A/C wasn't on. She asked the roommate who's been there the longest if he ever puts it on, and he said when it gets really hot, he'll put in on for a little while.

IT WAS 103 DEGREES! If that doesn't count as "really hot," I don't know what does! We immediately went out and bought DD a fan for her bedroom.

We stopped at Harris Ranch in Coalinga for dinner at 5, and it was 107 there.

Geez! Our june has been cold and rainy. Mostly in the 60's and 70's. But the past few days it has been around 90 and we have all been dying! I'm glad I don't live where it is 100+ degrees. I think I want to move Oregon in a few years, isn't it pretty mild there?

It is currently 12:30 a.m. and the temperature is:57 degrees

I spent the weekend in Palm Springs for my sister's 30th birthday...112 degrees for two of the days we were there...I was literally melting.

My husband and his two friends played golf in that heat...talk about crazy! He said by the 6th hole he could barely swing his club! He said there were employees of the golf course driving around with free apples and bananas for the golfers...eesh...

106 right now. Just got in from fixing sprinklers and being ankle deep in mud whilst wearing flip flops. Main worry was that mud would dry and I'd be stuck and I'd have to go the bathroom before my wife got home to dig me out.

I thought this past weekend was going to be the beginning of sweltering weather since it was 100, but TODAY was cooler & comfortable!
