When I did my student teaching, the 100th day project was for the first graders to collect 100 of something- and then use their collection to create something else. A few that I remember were a snowman made from 100 cotton balls, a caterpillar made from 100 pom-pom balls, a building made from 100 legos, and 100 Fruit Loops glued to a poster in the shape of a flower. I want to assign this project again, but the group of parents I have this year are not very motivated. I'm trying to compile a list of ideas (that I'll share after giving them time to brainstorm on their own) and I'm hoping some of the creative teachers here will help me add to the list!!
