I could use some help/ideas. I have to give a 10 min. demo lesson on measurement to 2nd graders on Thurs. How do I teach a lesson in 10 min. Any suggestions? I checked the standards and I could also teach about time. Should I make sure I incorporate the use of technology--they told me I would have access to a smartboard, but I am afraid I won't have time to get everything set up. Any advice would be much appreciated. I could use some ideas for a fun engaging activity. Thanks

How about introducing volume by using Mr. Gallon Man?? Mr. Gallon Man is a man made out of diff. capicities of volume (hope that makes sense).

I love teaching about Mr. Gallon Man in order to reinforce liquid volume concepts. It is interactive and engaging!
