I have been trying the email route with no success thus far. Is it overkill to send your resume via snail mail after emailing? If you were going to do both, how far in between doing each would you wait? I don't want to be too annoying but I don't want to get overlooked either. Especially now with the time crunch and all....

Thanks in advance as I'm sure this has been asked but I can't locate the threads.

Do everything you can! I don't think you're being annoying by putting your name out there. When I emailed and mailed my resumes I waited two or three days before mailing a hard copy. However, this close to the start if school I don't think you can wait. Good luck with your search.

    School starts in 3 weeks.

There's nothing wrong with a little overkill ;what do you have to lose?

I have never recieved any interviews after snail mailing anything. I found it a little pricey too so I stopped doing that and just emailed my things. However, you have to do what you have to do to get the position you want. I would just start doing everything you can. Good luck :)

I second Alice's advice. Go the extra mile.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I am taking a break from addressing envelopes and planning on going to the post office tomorrow. I feel kind of bad for the person who has to wait on me since I will have about 20 or so envelopes to get postage for, but I don't have a scale so I wouldn't know how many stamps I would need.

I have done both as well. It has not helped yet, but I am still trying. I figure it does not hurt and it might even stand out a little if it is in a pile of printed emails.
