Just one of those days...nothing truly awful, but a couple things that took the air out of my sails. Really, a day to put on my big girl britches and move on.

Still, I feel like throwing myself a pitty party. What is your favorite thing to do when you feel like you need a Pitty Party? I'm not talking about when life really does have you down, just those rare ocassions when it seems like life stinks, but you know it could be worse.

I usually just suck it up, and trying to switch my thoughts to positive thoughts (hence, some of my posts). I really have the urge to watch a tear jerker - just to have an excuse to cry.

I may go to bed earlier than usual. For me, that means maybe 9:30/10pm rather than 1/2am (if the next day isn't a work day).

    Eat a little something special.

    Buy some earrings or something.

I'm a big believer in the theraputic benefits of a good cry.

Or a chilled glass of wine.

    And there's always chocolate....

I'm sure it says something in there.... hmm, it's some strange code. Okay, you gotta tell us what it says!

I turn to my ultimate comfort food - macaroni and cheese. And then either the hot tub or a relaxing bath. With a good cry :)

I usually go for a drive, or go for a run. Also, there is always ice cream :)

    Eat junk, unfortunately.

Take a shower, sometimes with a good cry.

    Take a walk.

Just have an evening where I do NOTHING - leave the dishes, cooking, whatever, for another time and watch tv.

vent on here or too BF, depending on the topic.

cry, sleep, clean, watch sappy movies. I have accomplished a lot of housekeeping tasks when I was upset. I like the fringe benefits.

Its the grunting fowl language that comes out of my mouth at the batting cages. LOL Didn't think most people would appreciate the real words. But... there are a few clues in there if you look.

Put on my comfy clothes, get under my cozy blanket, watch some TV, and if possible eat some chocolate!

It does feel good to curse every once-in-a-while!!!! I really cleaned up my language once I was a mommy and teacher - I was always afraid I would let one slip. Now, an intentional "sugar honey iced tea" really helps!

I go get my eyebrows waxed. I always feel so much better after that...and the lady gives me a little forehead rub. :)

I go for a drive out to a scenic area or along some pretty back roads. Very refreshing.

I ride my bike home. First, I go through a busy industrial area and then I hit the Yolo Causeway bike path - a 3.11 mile stretch of cement and tarmac that goes right along Interstate 80.

The noise and wind is almost deafening. At any given time on the causeway, it's usually hotter, colder, wetter, or windier than whatever the weather report says that day.

Because of the noise, I like to listen to really loud punk rock when I ride across the Causeway in the afternoon. I generally pick something earsplitting with a lot of profanity, preferably with a British accent.

By the time I get home, I'm a picture of serenity.

Music is great - generally something that is the opposite of my personality. Post Grunge and 80's Hard rock music is the music of choice for my Pity Party!!!
