I am helping pilot our district's 1:1 program. I would like to find good, quick (20 mins or so) fun, online educational activities my kids could do as morning work when they come in each morning. I want it to just be a time when they can have something to focus on as they turn in homework, wait for announcements, we do attendance, and as they settle in for the day.

Brain Pop is lots of fun, but I think you have to subscribe to it. If I remember, it's not too pricey, and it's definitely worth it. Very colorful, visual, fun and educational!

This will be my 7th year in a 1:1 school. You'll love it! :)

I use EDU2.0 a lot. They can blog, create wikis, respond in forums, etc... You could post a question and make them respond, require a debate, etc... Possibilities are endless :)

Off the top of my head, my kids like sumdog.com, making wordles on tagxedo, spellingcity.com, MrNussbaum.com, freerice.com, and funbrain.com.
