Thanks a lot. This is great. This is another activity that we can work on during the first week.
Thanks for bringing this up. I will do a model and the kids can make them during the first week. Excellent.
These are very nice. Did you make one for each student?
So, after you introduce them, would you have them in a self-serve type of area, so the kids can access them while working indep.
I do a lot of "house keeping" procedural things during the first week. I may do a few pre tests and things like that. I like getting the portfolio...
So, they aren't used for as a teaching tool. I've seen them used as "forts" to shield cheating but theses have reference types of things on them.
I've noticed a seemingly great tool on Busy Teacher Cafe called Mini Office. It seems like an excellent tool, but how is it used?
I always do my walls then my desk, then the students' desks. I complete the boards last.
You are NOT being unreasonable and are being a lot more patient than I could be.
37 5th graders my first year of teaching.
I would on the way out. I would NOT carry it around with me or eat it prior to interviewing.
Ditto..
Typically, they leave it as it is for the first year...thereafter changes are made.
Hug them back in a friendly way. If you feel they are doing something inappropriate, tell them. If you want to limit the hugs, say something cute...
A college student
I've gone to a student's house for Thanksgiving dinner or to pick them up for a weekend outing.
I've worn mine and didn't have any comments or issues as with a few other teachers in the building.
Appropriate internet research.
How can we keep this going? I won't have pics until I return to the US.
Congrats. You will have a great year.
