I am a die hard fan of the blue sticky stuff. It is reusable, and sticks to just about anything!! Course, I don't know the proper name of it, but I love the stuff. When I volunteered I always did the bulletin boards, and that was my favorite thing to use when you could staple it!
I use a combination of the poster putty (blue stuff) and stikki clips. The wax residue from the stikki clips comes right off with a little elbow grease and cleaner.
I also use the blue sticky stuff, I put my stuff up when I started teaching and 3 years later I took it off. It leaves nothing behind and also helps keep the stuff up.
The parent-teacher store here in town has this stuff called mavulous tape. It's just white tape, kind of like medical tape, but it really holds. I didn't discover it until I was almost done setting up my room. so the stuff I first started taping off has been falling off, but the mavulous tape hasn't budged. I don't know if it's widely available or not but get it if you see it.
