Inconsistent Disciplining

One of the best things I've seen is to hold kids back for one minute after the bell. They've socialized on your time, so you'll take away the precious minute that means the difference between getting to the next class on time and hanging out with a friend in the hallway before heading into next period. They won't be late but they'll be in too much of a rush to enjoy being on time.
