Thanks - the archive is awesome! I noticed that after I posted the request for the email.

I am so glad to find the Pohlmeyer archive, but there are several graphics that do not download even after a very long wait. Am I doing something wrong?

I think that is normal for the archive. There are always some graphics that don't get archived, unfortunately.

I'm still hoping she will be open to letting her resources live on through A to Z... I'll keep everyone updated.

I was so sad when I tried to look at her site today, while getting lesson plans prepared for the fall and saw that it was gone. I am so thankful that you posted the archives link so I could go ahead and grab all of my favorite ideas. I do hope that she brings back her site, it was the BEST!

This is what I found when I tried to go to her web page.

This website has been closed.
I wish all of you the best and hope that you continue to make a difference in the lives of children everywhere.

Aww.

Yet- it is very difficult work maintaining a domain.

As for the archived website, you're correct... it does not archive all graphics.

I heard back from her. Here is her message to you all:
Quote:
I see that teachers visiting your site have found the Internet Archive: The Wayback Machine. It’s the best that I can offer those teachers trying to get a last look at my website. Please tell your visiting teachers that appreciate all of the kind words about me and Mrs. Pohlmeyer’s Kinder Page. It has been my pleasure to share my ideas and the ideas of many great Early Childhood Educators for the last six years. I wish all of you the best and hope that you continue to make a difference in the lives of children everywhere.

Well, I tried to get to Mrs. Pohlmeyer's kinderpage through archive yesterday and I could not get through. I am assuming that the archive is closed, too? How sad - what a treasure we have lost!

Mrs. Pohlmeyer - if you read this by any chance, thank you for an awesome website! I am just so thankful that I printed off many of the ideas before the site closed! They were well worth the price of ink!!

archive.org isn't associated with any of the sites that they archive. It's possible there was just a temporary downtime with their servers.
