What Are You Teaching This Year?

Just curious what grade level, subjects, specialist area everyone will be teaching this year. Is it a new grade for you?

I'm going into my 7th year in 3rd grade! Miss the little ones, but I love 3rd!

3rd Grade Teacher
Moving, by choice, from 4th to 2nd. Love 4th grade, but I needed a change for several reasons.

Grade 7/8
I'll be leaving special ed (which has been all or part of my teaching assignment for the past 7 years) and teaching a grade 6/7 combined class. I'll be teaching all subjects except for French, Music and Phys Ed. I'm so excited!

Third grade is an AWESOME grade... young enough to still love their teacher, and old enough to be more responsible.

That's how I feel about 4th grade. This will be my fifth year teaching fourth grade and I love the age! When they come in on the first day of school, their eyes are wide open with wonder and I get to see them transform into these savvy fifth graders as I guide them.

Okay...enough Hallmark moment.

2nd Grade Teacher
My 3rd year in grade 1. I love getting these tiny peanuts in September - most who can't read - and then watching them become little scholars! It's incredible how much they progress!

3rd Grade Math, Sci. and SS
I will be teaching 3rd Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies. I have taught 9 years in third grade and 2 years before that in fourth. Up until last year we were self contained. I am loving just teaching the three subjects to two different classes.
