Ms Sarah

Hello!

I have been a long-time lurker of this site, and have never fully introduced myself. I am an old soul who figured out at five-years-old that teaching was my dream. My goal has always been to make learning fun! I believe that it is my duty to make information more interesting in the classroom. If a child is bored, I have failed my job. Innately, children enjoy learning, so half the battle is won.

I also believe we should integrate video games into the curriculum. My goal is to ultimately infuse technology throughout all school systems. Our children are growing up in a technology rich environment, and these advancements should be infused into the learning process. There are thousands of video games on the market which teach young ones developmentally appropriate skills!

Most importantly, I believe that learning never stops, and I will continue my knowledge journey throughout life. I want to instill this value in others! I have an AS, BA, and MA in the field Education, and I plan to earn a PhD in the future!

Currently I work near Atlanta, GA for a preschool as a floater/sub, and will start a GA Pre-K lead teaching position in the fall. This will be my fourth preschool in two years because of bad experiences! I have standards and will not sway from them for any business.

Math and science are my strongest areas, so I imagine I will be scouring this site for great lit/lang ideas! Best of luck to everyone! Thanks for reading

Salutations!
