Emailing principals - do it

Just got an interview after emailing the principal personally (don't know if I was supposed to do that, but I really wanted to work at this school!). She didn't reply but I got the email for the interview 3 weeks later. Exciting!

Emailing principals has worked well for me in the past. I hand delivered my packet to my current job and I believe that first contact made the difference!

Going back to school...
Congrats!

Did you email the principal even if it said specifically not to on the school's web site?

I NEVER email if they say not to. Some might, but I don't!

It didn't say either way, so I went for it!

Okay, yeah. Over 90% of jobs here say no calls/emails will be accepted. The month to month sub at my school told me to email but I felt like I shouldn't if it said not to. Thanks

Congrats!

Red- if it says not to, I wouldn't. Where in NJ are you?
