Need a Hug

I am leaving in the morning to meet my dad in Hawaii to go on a cruise. He just called to say his doctor may not release him to go (he is 86) because he has swelling in his legs. I want him to be safe, but I haven't seen him in several years and really have looked forward to, and saved for this, for a long time! After all the unrefundable money I have spent, I wouldn't be able to afford to go to Australia to see him anytime soon. I am heartbroken at the possibility I may not see him. I want to cry.... I have gone from being on top of the world to such sadness....

Plenty of hugs coming your way. I certainly hope your dad can go on the cruise. He can certainly take it easy on a cruise and do just what he is healthy enough to do.
