Last year, we wrapped blocks, gave them to a friend and had the friend imagine out loud what the gift would be. They then got to open the gift and thank the child. The children were supposed to make sure they picked a person that hadn't been chosen for their present...so there was a lot of "have you gotten a gift?"
It was a hit! At the end we started to just love the center without the passing out and I had a tiny tree moved over for the children to put the gifts under! Great!
