I am blessed to have both a smartboard and an elmo, and I'm not sure I could go back to teaching without them!

I have a Promethean and really love using it! The students are more engaged in the lesson.

I project my e-books on my board and get some great classroom discussions/learning going that way since I only buy one or two books at a time with my points at scholastic.com/storia

If someone was going to rob my interactive whiteboard, I might leap myself in front of it. It has helped me in so many ways. I was ready to have the flags fly at half mast when the bulb died one day. (They last about 2 years). I think you get that I love my interactive whiteboard.
There are many good brands, but the Promethean board is the best in my opinion.

I have a Promethean and I LOVE it. I had a StarBoard last year and it didn't ever work properly so I only got to use it as a projector.  Anything is probably good though.

I had to teach summer school in a room without a smartboard and document camera-two things I have had my entire teaching career (5 years), I was lost!

I have a Promethean Board and document camera and it makes a world of difference. I thought mine wasn't working one day and I left school to get my friend to troubleshoot. It was a horrible day; you will definitely love a whiteboard.
