Modal Verbs

Hello everyone! I've scoured the internet for some sort of lesson or activity of modal verbs and have come up empty handed. Does anyone have any ideas on how to introduce modal verbs? Any great activities to go along with teaching modal verbs? It's for 4th grade.

I've never heard of teaching modal verbs in 4th grade, so I can't help you out. Is it part of your state curriculum, or the common core?

It's part of the common core:

L.4.1. Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.

Use modal auxiliaries (e.g., can, may, must) to convey various conditions.
