I would see if one of the high school english classes would do it.
I remember doing that when I was in high school.
I would offer but I stink at putting things in the mail lol.

as a first grade team, we always teamed with the sixth grade team. it was fun and not one kid ever blew cover!! the sixth grade teachers were always so good at explaining it so no one wanted to tell! but i like the high school idea, too! have fun!

I didn't catch the misspelling. I home school so no one here to trade with. Plus I want them to put the stamp and put them in the mail box so they know they are going to Santa.

I actually thought Clause was spelled with an "e" at the end. At least that's what everything around here says: "Santa Clause", but that was a cute little joke.

ABall if you find anywhere to do this let me know. Ever since we did that postcard exchange the kids have been facinated with getting mail and it would be nice to do it with writing Santa letters.

Clause or Claus? If everything says Clause, you have a lot of correcting to do... It's Santa Claus!

I know you won't be able to do this, ABall, but I thought I'd share how we did it... My kinders would write letters to Santa, then we'd take them to the office and the secretaries would run them through the machine to put postage on them and we'd place them in the mailbox. The gifted class picked them up and answered the letters!

Search Google for letters from Santa, and you'll find several that will send a letter to your child for a fee.

As for letter writing projects for schools - Here is one you can keep in mind for next year, but registration for this year is closed:

Here is another idea where HS students write letters for $2. It doesn't indicate a YEAR, but it is linked from the school's home page so it should be current:

Ok ,maybe not everything says that now that I think about it. You know when you look at something hard enough and you can't tell if there is something wrong with it or not? That's what happend. Now that I recall...I take back what I said. I do swear that I've seen it spelled wrong a couple of places though...I'll have to keep my eyes peeled this holiday season.

I don't know about where you live but here in Canada (Nova Scotia at least). Letters get addressed to

Santa Claus
North Pole
HOH HOH

My Uncle was a mailman for years, and one extra duty he always took part in for years was to reply to those letters to Santa.
Maybe you could check with the UPS and see if they have a similar program?

Maybe you were thinking of the movie with Tim Allen - "Santa Clause" that IS spelled with an "e."
