Hi snpalmer in Australia!

I have just registered as a member with A to Z Teacher stuff, because I saw your post and this is exactly the song and lyrics I've been looking for (Ants on the apple...a,a,a, ants on the apple..a,a,a) !

Would you be able to send me the complete lyrics?

I don't even know if this "quick reply", is how to reach you!?!?

Thanks for your help!

I don't know if this is the one you are refering too but my kids love the song and it is so easy to learn and remember.

If you think this is the song let me know and I will send you all the words. (It starts off with "when we learn these sounds you'll see, ready to read then we will be")
This song is found on the "Sing, spell, read & write program" I was told that it is called the ABC song and the author's name is Sue Dickson. It's the 1st part of 1st grade kindergarten phonics program. I hope that helps.

I had to call my daughters school to get this info and do a ton of digging on the internet!

Here are the words...

When we learn these sounds, you'll see,
Ready to read then we will be.

A, a, apple....B, b. ball
C, c cat ....And D, d, doll.
E, e, egg....F, f, fan
G, g, goat ...And H, h, hand.
I, i, Indian....J, j, jam
K, k, king......And L, l , lamb.
M, m, man....And N, n, nickel
O, o, ox.....And P, p, pickle.
Q, q, queen.....R, r, rail
S, s, sun.....And T, t, tail.
U, u, umbrella....V, v, vase
I'm nearly through, see my happy face!
W, w, wagon....X, x, box
Y, y, yard and do you see a fox?
See him in the Z, z, zoo.
It was fun and now we're through.
We if sing these well, indeed,
Then it's time for us to read!
