I need to create a lesson plan for second grade based on the book "How Big is a Foot?" Any ideas for activities and related assessments, including a rubric?
Have them trace their feet on paper, cut out and use as 'non-standard' units of measure...compare measurements..student A may have measured the side of the carpet as 40 feet, student B may measure the same carpet side as 47 feet...have students write about their math thinking...
