Ideas for "There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom"

Hi, I am new to this forum, and I hope that someone can help me. My school has a voluntary summer reading book each year, and this year it is "There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom". I need one or two ideas for writing activities for the first week of school. I think I can do something with friendship, but I am fresh out of creative ideas. Any thoughts? Thanks!

There are all kinds of Louis Sachar links on this website:

Thanks, I appreciate the response. Unfortunately, these are all items to be purchased, and since it is not a required assignment, I had hoped to avoid buying anything...perhaps I'll just visit a teaching store and "browse" to pick up a couple of ideas.

Try this one. Sorry, I meant to give you this one instead of that other one.

Theres a book my friend got at the teacher store that has this story (which I am reading to my class right now) and lots of wonderful ideas to go with it. I wish I could remember the title. I'll see if I can find out.
