NEW to 3rd Grade!

All of my teaching experience has been in Kindergarten. This year, I have found myself being placed in a class right smack in the middle of the year & now we're learning our multiplication facts.

Are there any creative ways to teach children their multiplication facts or suggestions that you may have? Also, links to worksheets are appreciated.

Thank you!

Get 'Math by All Means -Multiplication' by Marilyn Burns.

Circles and Stars is a great game for introducing multiplication:

Try using different approaches: music, drawing, clapping, movement, art, creating, etc in addition to flash cards. There are also lots of games that can be used with multiplication: war, around the world, top it, multiplication baseball...

There are lots of free websites to practice multiplication facts. You can try xtramath.org. It's free!
