I don't think it is a big deal that you don't remember the specifics of a project. You graded 20 something of them! I would have no problem with telling a parent or student, "I don't recall exactly what I put on the rubric/test/paper, can you bring it back to me to help me remember." I grade 100 essays a week, I hardly ever remember an essay when a student asks, however once they read the first couple lines I know exactly what I liked about the essay and suggested areas of improvement.

Last year was my first year teaching and I had my students do a project on desert animals... I had a parent send me an email about her son's grade. He got a "C", which was consistent with all his grades. She told me he was disappointed with his grade because he had worked so hard on it. Since I had a ruberic I was able to tell her exactly what he didn't do on the project and why he received that grade. I never heard from her again.
