How long does it take?

Okay, I submitted my application for a full time job on the 16th of December, the deadline was the 17th of December at 11:45pm PST. I am wondering how long it takes to hear back usually. I noticed they extended it until the 21st--I am wondering if that's because they didn't see anyone worthy. I can't help but be a little concerned.

So yes, how long does it take to hear back?

I think it depends on the district and who is hiring. I don't know when your district goes on break, but they could be waiting until after break to interview.

I've definitely heard of it taking between days and months. Is this the only job you applied to? Every person I have talked to that has been hired as a teacher in the past couple of years applied to many many positions. Don't get your heart set on one! It's really rough in this area right now.

It is the only one even relatively close to me so I had little to no choice in the matter to only apply to one position.
