I know I am little late in reading through this conversation but it has been very helpful for me. Last year I moved from 2nd and 3rd grade to 5th grade and I feel that I have been fumbling ever since. Your daily reading plans have really give me some great guidance. I was wondering if you had ever been able to post your writing plans? You really do have some great ideas. Thanks again!

You can use ANYTHING YOU WANT from my calendar, Amers. If you want to know... my writing calendar is completed as well. I think where I started out with ideas for the mini-lessons was Learner.org and Guiding Readers and Writers.

I can say that I haven't followed verbatim, yet it's helped me to stay very focused with my reading instruction this year.
