Praxis 0856: Physical Education?

There is no study guide in Virginia for this exam. I'm thinking about getting a second certification. I am about to be licensed in special ed. but I want an alternative license too. I know about the ETS study guide, but there aren't any others???? Any tips?

If this exam is specific to Virginia, it's probably aligned to the state's standards in PE, which are here: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/testing/...on/index.shtml. Look at the VDOE page on physical education at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/instruct...ed/index.shtml for a assortment of instructional resources; you should certainly know about AAHPERD and VAHPERD, at the bottom of the page, and I suspect each Web site is likely to have useful resources for you as well.

Start with those, making a point of looking up any technical term in them (or in the Tests at a Glance doc for 0856) whose meaning you don't know cold on the Internet. Past experience also suggests that Googling your state + "physical education lesson plans" or "pe lesson plans" may serve up something of a mother lode.
