TeacherGroupie, that is how I want it with my students. I want them to know that sometimes people have to do strange stuff to keep well but that it is ok.

Unfortunately, the PICC line did not go well. My oxygen is in the high 80s so I will not be going to school until it is higher. I am worried about my health and what the parents will think because I have missed to much school. Sometimes it really stinks to watch things slip away from you.

Thank you all for your support

The parents should understand. Your health must come first. You can still play a very important role in the classroom by keeping in touch with the substitute, help with the planning, discuss what is going on.provide encouragement to your students to work hard and do their best until you are able to return.
Good Luck and hope to hear you are feeling better.

sue35, you're dealing with things that are out of your control.
Your health comes first.

Hope things start improving for you and soon.

Sue, I feel for you.

If it's any consolation, my kids' parents were fabulous with all the crises I had last year. Every single time I met with a parent all year, the first question was about my health.

Hang in there. Big picture: get things back together. Then you can worry about school.
