teacher insurance

Are there certain companies that you recommend? I already have teacher insurance (the kind that pays for court fees/ legal stuff). However, I'm wondering if I chose the right company.... My co-workers have never heard of it! I don't know if that's a bad thing.

I don't need it because the union provides it. Do you have a union? if so, then you don't need it.

What company do your coworkers use?

I don't get my own insurance because my union provides it. Some teachers in my district who aren't members of my union are members of a different union, something for Christian teachers or something. I hear that that's a good union, and it might be worth looking into if your state allows it.

I am a member of a teachers' organization (not a union). I will not ever teach another year without the insurance it offers.

I didn't know that certain states do not allow certain insurance.

I meant that some states might not allow membership in a union. I've never dealt with teacher insurance as its own thing, so I don't really know enough about that to tell you what your state does or does not allow.
